  1. So purdy!!!!! I love the effect. You’re going to have a blast with Photoshop.

  2. Beautiful shot of a beautiful subject!

  3. Very nice! Feel free to email me about any photoshop questions you might have ;)

  4. Thank you so much….you may regret that though….LOL!!!! no seriously, thank you!! Cheers!

  5. Adorable. I would argue that your daughter doesn’t need any photoshopping. She is a natural beauty. :)

  6. Very pretty. I haven’t had the patience to work with photoshop, but I do like Lightroom.

  7. Stick with it, Photoshop is worth the trouble to learn! Plus, when you get it down, you’ll have all Adobe products “down.” They use the same tools and are very similar. Great shot and lighting.

  8. I have no idea how photoshop works but I’m related to a photographer and I know what photoshop can do. Unless you turn the subject into a different person, it can improve it …ok… a lot…but it cannot make miracles. Believe when I say that she is a true beauty.

  9. whatever you’re doing, it’s working!!! i have photoshop elements, but it’s crazy, too!

  10. What a nice portrait, Kimberly! I love both the lighting and the clean composition!
Mastering Photoshop is unfortunately a necessity in the digital era! Do you shoot raw? If so, what do you use to process your raw files? Lightroom?
The only suggestion I would humbly pass on regarding the post processing of this image is that, in my view, the color balance is a tad too much slanted toward the yellows (look at her eyes and skin). Although it is nice to try to complement/emphasize the mood of the moment the photo was taken in (it was a sunny day after all!) I think a slightly more neutral white balance would benefit the mage. I would experiment with the eyedropper tool in LR until you find a pleasing degree of “warmth”.
Clearly everything is subjective, so you have every right to tell me that you just like it the way it is and to mind my own business!!! :-D

    • Stefano, thanks for the constructive critisicm, I do appreciate the help. I wouldn’t tell you to mind your own business as everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course. I can see what you are seeing in the yellows for sure. I will see what I can do with that. At this point I am just experimenting with some overlays and some textures and so on in PS5…. I don’t have LR. . I have shot “raw” before but I am not really tech savvy at all so….I am just trying to keep it simple at the moment….. lol…. Having said all that for now I will keep practicing.. there is SO MUCH to learn…. thank you again I do appreciate the comment! Cheers!! ;0))
