I’m gonna love you through it

I'm gonna love you through it

Look at us. So long ago. Not even 20 years of age. Half way around the globe in a third world country.Having the time of our lives. That lovely girl in the blue shirt, goofy grin and big floppy hat is someone I love like the sun and I am so grateful and blessed that she is my friend. . She tops my list of “besties”like icing on a cake all covered in pink and orange sprinkles. She radiates a glow.I can’t explain it. Her positivity and incredible aura that wrap around her make you want to sit a little closer. Maybe they are her guardian angels I feel. No, actually I KNOW they are. See, look what good karma does for you. Another thing that is even more amazing? She stands to be the most positive person I know even though she is fighting a war with ugly, evil, cancer. I am SO proud of her. I can’t even begin to tell you. That is why I am writing this, to introduce you to this incredible person.I want her to know that she is so loved by so many. Thousands of points of love. Lugging around a huge and heavy sack everyday filled with the ugly”C” word has to be the scariest  and most daunting thing ever.I can’t even imagine, but she has told me she is a survivor, and I believe her. So, my friend Tracy, always keep your face to the sun and KNOW that we are all gonna love you through it. Bonnie dedicated this beautiful and moving Martina McBride video to you and I do as well. Everyone, if you have a couple minutes please watch the following link. xox

    • Thank you my beautiful friend, once again I have been brought to tears, happy and grateful ones, not fearful. I’ve read a lot of survivor stories and many of them say that being chosen to take this journey is a gift and although I’m far from finished mine, I know exactly what they mean. I’ve been given numerous gifts with this and the most important ones are gratitude and clarity, never in my life has everything felt so crystal clear and sharply in focus. I KNOW what’s important and what matters in my life and that is a very calming feeling. Here is to us, replacing this lovely picture with one of us sharing a toast with maybe a yummy glass of wine on another beautiful little island some where! I love you, always and have and always will. xoxo

  1. Tracy: If there was ever a “good” time to have cancer, it’s now. The treatments are working and peoples’ lives are being saved all the time. Sending you hopeful, good thoughts!!!

Kim: You’re such a wonderful friend. I’m not at all surprised by how loving you are.

  2. At first, I was trying to make sense of the picture ’cause it didn’t fit with the story, Hannah wasn’t around 20 years ago. Then the realization hit…it’s you!!! OMG…Hannah is the spitting image of you.
