I awoke this morning with two things fresh on my mind. First off, how was my boy feeling. The flu bug has mysteriously wormed its way into the house, again. ughhh. Then I thought, should I run down to the barn to throw rain sheets on my two horses as it has literally been raining cats and dogs out here on the West Coast. Hey at least I have my priorities straight and in the right order. Coffee was intermingled amongst my waking thoughts as well. Duh. I adore my three children, they come first of course, along with my handsome wingman. My two equine children and my big hairy beast of a dog are right up there with them though. My dog Bear, he is my best friend. Sorry girls!. :0) Any one of my friends could tell you that I LOVE horses, love em’. Caught the “horse fever” phenomenon when I was just a string bean of a girl around ten years of age. Never shook it either. I often sport a heady perfumed mix of horses ass and dog slime and so does my Jeep, a.k.a. the stink mobile. Nice huh? I like it though, actually love it. Let me just quickly add that I do clean up pretty good with the rest of them and can actually be girly sometimes! …just sayin…I don’t want you thinking I am some sort of stinky, unkempt chick. I have earned the handle “Dirty Girl”but I like to call myself Horse Girl. Anyways, seeing as how the grey, wet skies are keeping me indoors today, I thought I would take you back two summers ago to a big wide open field. The herd in these photos belong to various people, two of them are mine. Being in a natural environment ,the way horses should be, in my opinion, really lets the beauty of their personalities shine through. Each one as different and beautiful as the next.
