Equine photography. It is hard I tell you.Try it. These guys don’t stand still and pose for you, they are constantly on the move. More than not with their heads down. Just how they are designed to be.Grazing and walking, walking and grazing. I, myself prefer the subject in his or hers natural state rather than all haltered and stiff. So, it takes some time. Get the light right and take a lot of pictures. But that is me. There is something beautiful in every horse, old, young, showy or retired, perfectly groomed or fresh from a good, old roll in the mud. This horse that I photographed was one of our herd members who now is grazing and walking freely in the big pasture in the sky. Zephyr,, you were a good and noble, old boy.
