Who says  a buttercup is not a choice pick? Who says they are just a  lowly humble weed?Who tags them as a golden nuisance? Ahhh, yes, probably almost everyone.

buttercup2BUT, wouldn’t you like to sit here for a moment and breathe it all in? These yellow~ faced ‘weeds’ throw a splash of sunlight on the scene, don’t you agree?  Better than a concrete jungle any old day of the week. I could lay in a field of cheery buttercups all the day long. No worries . No problems.

buttercup3 What if we poisoned all the weeds, because they were simply weeds? The whole world would be a perfectly manicured green lawn. Yes, true story but those nasty invisible poison potions are destroying a much more precious thing. Our Earth. Our childrens’ health. We all know and agree those things are far, far more important. They are our everything.  So next time you reach for that Roundup, just walk away people, drop those bottles. Do the right thing. Do it for our kids. Think yellow!buttercupOn the simple side of this weedy wrangle are what these cheery blossoms offer us. Just for a minute, if you can, embrace them. Shimmy back in time for a mere moment.  How did you figure out if you liked butter or not without buttercups when you were five? Remember? If you saw a golden reflection under your mates chin ,you liked butter! No reflection? Simple. You didn’t like butter!  Also as a grown up person, would it not be a sadly missed opportunity  to never be proudly presented with a beautiful  yellow ‘flower’ bouquet freshly plucked by a young child ? Yes, it would.

Hug your inner hippie today. What did that buttercup ever do to you?
