perhaps my twisted brain as I ‘ slept’ last night.

I am exhausted. Last night I was hit by a truck, my camera stolen by a junkie and attended a Justin Bieber concert, , yay me.. I am 47 btw. I then got to photograph him( Justin)  and all the while I was doing so I lost my kids at said concert and had a heart attack.

the irony.....being hit by the truck of your dreams....

the irony…..being hit by the truck of your dreams….

Seriously.  All in a good nights sleep. WTH?

Obviously these events were playing out not in’ real life’ and not really in ‘Dreamland’ but more like  ‘Screamland’. It was all too real…

I tell you it feels very real this fine morning. Gack…I am the owner of an awesome sleep hangover.

Heart pounding like a Dyson vacuums’ cyclone technology, never losing power, sucking and tearing tarry crystallized bits of heart break and ache into a whirlwind, round and round and round with no where to go. Shoulders tucked up tightly to the ears blocking out any more badness from entering in. Body contracted, twisted and rolled into a cocoon of covers as if a hungry spider would proceed in preparing a meal to feast upon.  Again…. gack! All this upon awakening and even before I pried opened my scratched out eyeballs. I even got out of the dream/nightmare, woke up, got water and fell back asleep right into ‘Screamland’ immediately.

Maybe I have issues? Whatever.  Yes, for sure I have issues. We all have our stuff, right?  Our dreams are signs to pay attention to, I think anyway.

The heart pounding ~ drink less coffee, more water, more wine…slipped that bad boy in there… cause I do love my wine.

The heart attack~ make healthier food choices and more exercise, maybe a lot more exercise so I can eat more food and drink more wine and mmm, some beer.

Taking photos of Justin Bieber~ my life’s dream…. NO, just kidding! That one stumps me..weird…I would however take his photo for massive sums of money… call me Justin..

Being cocooned in covers~ that is normal…you really don’t want to share a bed with me …really….unless you are the ‘hot’ type of sleeper…meaning one who doesn’t need blankets, because I will take them all, and not just the blankets, pillows too. Seriously, all ~ of~ them. I snooze in a peaceful nest. I love my nest… 12 yr. old daughter has figured out my tricks and this summer I catch her up there with my iPad watching movies with her snacks in my ‘nest’. Damn.

Guess, I will have just one more cuppa coffee. It is a wee bit early for wine…..

ok, I know it looks like she is flipping a bird, but it is a peace sign....just sayin'

  1. Far out, you had me in a panic for a second…! Bad dreams are horrible. Thankfully, I haven’t had one in a while, but mine mostly centre on losing those I love (either physically, as in death, or I just can’t find them. Like your kids. Panic mode!). Glad that all was ok in the morning. I agree with the wine philosophy… it solves everything 😉 By the way, your daughter is a stunner, bird or no bird!! Gorgeous.

  2. bahahaha admit it your a belebieber! sign me up to the exercise program and more beer bigger fire….
All the kids are out of the house I could… a) clean the laundry room or… b) dive headfirst back under the covers. Can u guess which one?

  3. Love the Dyson Cyclone imagery, K. I also love how we can transform a FU to peace with a simple change of perspective. Sounds like someone needs a full day off. {{{Hugs}}} kozo
