These two girls have come a long way in their partnership.Young girl and rescue pony. I love how comfortable the pony is in her girls arms. If you have been around horses much you know many horses don’t tolerate their faces being held for long, it makes them feel vulnerable. Trapped, in a way. They are true flight animals, always on the lookout for a predator. When they are frightened or threatened they flee. In this case, the pony trusts her girl to watch over her. She is part of her herd. As a horse person that is something you earn through time and respect and care. Clearly the effort has been made. It is simply a beautiful thing to see evolve.
One of your best shots ever, I think.
agreed
Thanks Scott.
Heart. Melting. ❤
Awww thanks Alison. It is a sweet thing indeed. Better than boys at this point! 🙂

Hello Francesca. Thank you. I am hoping she continues to love the pony more than boys for a while longer. LOL!! 🙂
So sweet.

That has to be one of the best horse photos ever! And you’re looking pretty good there, too!
Wow, thanks! Muchly appreciated…. 🙂
Fabulous picture!
Thank you Bente for the compliment. Cheers.
Incredible! Everything about this photo tells a story of love and trust. As you wrote, any horse person knows a calm trust like this comes with time, patience, and a LOT of love. It speaks volumes about that young horse woman, and of how far that gorgeous pony has come. Thank heavens they found each other! Thanks for sharing, dear heart. Another one of your gems to brighten my morning. Hugs, Gina
