in my cuppa

steam3

is that a ski jumper rising out of my coffee?

I have so many things on my to do list today and yet here I find myself pleasantly stuck  in front of my morning cuppa seeing figures and shapes dancing out of the caffeinated steam.

It is a lovely luxury at best. This moment. Being able to sit still. Being able to just be . Letting myself have this lackadaisical  looking time.

Sometimes it is the way a tiny stream of light lays itself down onto a solid object that slows my hasty pace. It maybe only for mere seconds that the light sings but the illumination flowing into beautiful transformation is what pulls at me.

  1. In the last one I see either the head of an Alien…
Or, more pleasantly, a mermaid folded over as she prepares to dive back into the coffee.
Fantastic shots. And equally as wonderful accompanying words. I should be better about listening to the light sing.

    • DJ, I have to say I like your take on the mermaid. I wish I had seen that first. When we were doing the hair shots and drinking wine( of course) we kept seeing aliens in the hair and actually last week I saw a pretty wicked dinosaur in an icy puddle. Thanks dude for the lovely words. cheers.
