About

wtf4 and what the f@#k is this about ? photographs, photographs and more photographs . it will be about the  golden light. it will be a slow evolution. it is about eye spying through the viewfinder . it is a captured bit of a second sent out to the universe. it is about how a black box and a piece of glass marry and its baby is magic.

    • Yes, there are in fact all mine. Thanks for the comments btw. I just noticed on your “about” page you are on San Juan Island. That is stellar. What a groovy place. Love it there. Spent many a summer on that Ise. Do they still have the Friday Harbour Jazz Fest in the summer?

  4. Hi Kimberly!

I want to apologize for my delay in publishing our Inspiring Blogger Award post. I’ll do it on Friday. I just don’t want you to think that we are not grateful to you because we are beyond that. We are having a party tomorrow night and there will be 50 hungry women. I’m cooking like crazy! I only wish you could attend: rain check? 😉

  5. I just seen you’ve been nominated before, but I’m nominating you anyway! for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. If you need to you can read all the details on my blog alisonanddon.wordpress.com.
    Cheers.

  6. Alison, if anyone is inspiring it would be YOU! :0) Thank you for the nomination, I very much appreciate it! This morning I will go be inspired by your blog. I also see you are from Vancouver…Thank you again…..namaste.

  7. Thanks right back. Yes from Vancouver. Well Canberra Australia originally but have lived in Van for yrs and it’s home town now, as much as a nomad has a home town. It’s a fabulous city. Glad you find the blog inspiring. We’re on a roll. Got no idea what it’s all about, but it’s better that way.

  8. Grazie, Francesca….:0) I hope you don’t think I am rude not replying sooner… I have been scurrying about trying to get everything done! 17 people for dinner on the 25th plus it is my lovey’s birthday! That means, (on top of many other things) whipping up 12 individual plum puddings :o0 … and I have never made them before…wish me luck… :0) I am very grateful for you thinking of me and whatever I put “out there” being worthy of an award.. sometimes I am a crazy nut! I really appreciate it, you are the sweetest …. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely Italian family, I think it is so beautiful that your family can be together for the festivities !! My best friend growing up was Italian and I really miss her in my life. Blessings to you and Stephano! . xo Kimberly

  9. Just dropping by to let you know I’ve nominated you for the Shine On Award, and the Versatile Blogger Award, because I think your blog is awesome!

  10. Smiley faces – somewhere in your settings – you must have them turned on since they show up on your blog. I think all you have to type is a colon and a curve bracket. Leave out the o in between and it will work I think. 🙂

  11. hey friend, i just want to thank you for being such an avid reader and follower of my blog. it’s quite the little community we have here, the support is so welcomed and appreciated! keep up the great work!!!

    • Morning Audrey! I am inspired by your blog via every post. You make me want to Vitamix things up and be better! Plus you are as cute as a bug (that is a good thing!) and I can almost feel your sunshiny energy through the screen…. Yes, I am born and bred here in the Pacific Northwest. I live with my herd and yard apes( horses and kids + a husband) in a small seaside community just outside Vancouver. You know you live in a great place when you can breathe in salt ocean air from your front yard. Cheers!

      • awww – thank you so much, Kimberly! what kind words you wrote! haha i love how you write, too… i’m tickled by your comment in so many ways. i love it when a person just “gets me” — even if it is via the internet. you can convey tone pretty easily over text if you’re a savvy introvert like me 😉 thanks for the sweet words!! i love vancouver!! mmmm, your description sounds ideal! again – so much gratitude for the comment, have a wonderful day!

    • Happy New Year! I came across your blog looking for info about family travel in Thailand. We are headed there in March. I found a lot of great stuff on your blog. Very inspiring! Cheers and happy travels!

      • I am so glad you found me! I hope that our posts will continue to be helpful. We will be traveling around Thailand for a while longer. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me at andthreetogo@yahoo.com as well. Thank you for checking us out. 🙂

      • I am so glad I found you too! 😀 Wow, how long are you travelling through Thailand? I wish we had more time, but I have a feeling this won’t be our only trip there. One question~ We are going from Mar13 ~ Apr 1. Should I book all accomodation on line or wait to see what we can find. The only thing I have booked so far are the first two nights we arrive and the last night at an airport hotel. We are thinking of Chiang Mai from Bangkok via night train then down to Koh Lanta or the Eastern Islands. We are a family of five.. just wondering what is the best idea for budget and availability… thanks!! 😀

      • We are traveling indefinitely, and may actually end up settling somewhere here in Thailand after we have finished our travels through se Asia. That’s in the future a ways though I think.
Your plan sounds great. We have always just “winged it” when finding places to stay on our previous trips, but now we like to have a place booked at least for the first few days such as you have. With a family of five though, I would highly suggest Airbnb.com. We have used it in almost every country we have stayed in and have had great experiences.
On the islands it is completely possible to find rooms when you get there (as long as it’s not a holiday or big party weekend such as songkran or full moon party), especially if you take public transportation, often the hotel/guesthouse employees will be standing at the stations trying to get you to stay in their place. You can usually get a good deal on rooms that way. We are going to be visiting some of the islands in the next month or two so make sure to check back here as I will be posting about where we stay I am sure. 🙂

  13. Hi – Love your About page. Sheer truth. Thanks for following my photography blog, Jane’s Lens. I hope you are inspired. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

    • Wow, you are a sweetheart. I accept this with a million smiles. Unfortunately I can not play b/c I have more than 600 followers so that would make me a cheater pants. I do however thank you for thinking of me. Cheers. Keep up all the good fun in the Playground. Xx kimberly

      • I did some more research on this award after posting this, and apparently, you can be nominated with less than 3000 followers! Apparently there are many versions going around. So please, feel free to accept, if you feel up to paying it forward.

  14. Dear friend, Thank you very much, I was really happy to have been following your blog. I’m still a lot to figure out, and here I can only say that you are an awesome blogger, full Inspiring and hope you can inspire more readers. Thanks and greetings compassion from Gede Prama 🙂

  15. Our guinea pigs are names Tango and Foxtrot. I didn’t realize until later that if we’d added a Whiskey it would have had a whole new meaning. Thanks for visiting Wine and Cheese (Doodles). You’ve a lovely blog here. x
